Check out this great cinematic video by Roberson Films
It wasn't about the flowers or the food — though we hear about those too.
It was a groom named Jovanni Valles, who took the time after his wedding to write this:
“From start to finish, Danny and his family were absolutely amazing. The venue was beautiful, the food was incredible, and the photos came out better than we could have ever imagined. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding experience.” — Jovanni Valles
We keep that one close. Not because it mentions the food or the photos — but because it says from start to finish. That's the promise we make to every couple who books with us. And it's the one we work hardest to keep.
First-Time Planners Welcome Here
Planning a wedding for the first time is equal parts exciting and terrifying. Most couples have never done it before — and the fear of getting it wrong is real.
Ja'Nicie & David came in as first-time planners. Here's what they said afterward:
“The venue was beautifully decorated, the packages saved us so much stress and cost, and the team was attentive and clear with instructions every step of the way. Vera was incredible at catching every fine detail. An absolute complete lifesaver.” — Ja'Nície & David
If you've never planned a wedding before — good. Neither had they. And it worked out beautifully.
When the Details Matter to You, They Matter to Us
“Everything was exactly as described — the décor, the setup, the food. Nothing was left to chance.” — Kylie Yanez
“The team made everything so easy. I didn't have to worry about a single thing on my wedding day.” — Cynthia Garcia
Before a couple ever reads a single word on this page, they look at two things:
The star rating. And the number of reviews.
Here's ours:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 111 Google Reviews Best of Weddings 2026
111 couples. Across Abilene, Midland, Sweetwater, San Angelo, Lubbock, and DFW. Families who drove hours because a grandparent was rooted in the Big Country. First-time planners who were terrified and left grateful. Grooms who didn't expect to be moved — and were.
That number didn't happen by accident. It happened because of a family that shows up — every single time.
Read enough of our reviews and a few themes start repeating.
Not because we asked for them. But because they're true.
“The food was incredible.”
That's Chef Dustin Snook — Le Cordon Bleu graduate, raised in this family, cooking from scratch for every wedding. When couples say the food stood out, they're talking about Tex-Mex fajitas made the right way, cheese enchiladas, fresh guacamole, and a buffet that never runs short. It's the kind of food that gets its own conversation at the reception.
“The photos came out better than we imagined.”
That's Danny and Vera Snook — both award-winning photographers. Danny has been behind a camera since August 1979 and earned his Certified Professional Photographer designation in 1988. Vera is the second set of eyes that catches what Danny can't reach from the altar. Together, they run a two-position system designed to never miss a moment — and your edited photos are delivered within a week, while your wedding is still the thing everyone's talking about.
“The team took care of everything.”
That's our Wedding Directors, included in every single package at The Meadows. From the rehearsal the night before through event end at 11:00 pm, Donna is on-site, in charge, and making sure your day runs exactly as planned. No other venue in Abilene includes a Wedding Director at no additional charge. At The Meadows, she's just part of how we do things.
“The venue was beautiful.”
That's the result of decades of building, designing, and refining. The Wedding Pergola with its year-round green turf. The Outdoor Chapel with its wildflower meadow backdrop. The Wedding Oak Tree with its string lights and chandelier glow. The chandelier-lit foyer. The sweetheart table beneath its own crystal chandelier. The west wall of windows in Celebration Hall overlooking the Pergola grounds as the sun goes down.
A family built this property — by hand, over years — because they wanted it to be somewhere worth celebrating.
We don't curate or select the reviews that appear on our Google listing.
What you see there — all 111 of them — is the unfiltered record of what couples experienced when they trusted us with their wedding day.
We think that matters.
“The more you know, the better your decisions.” That's something we believe deeply at The Meadows — and it applies to reading reviews just as much as it applies to comparing packages.

Wedding reviews are almost always written by brides.
Which is exactly why Jovanni Valles surprised us.
He didn't have to write anything. His wedding was done. But he took the time to say:
“From start to finish, Danny and his family were absolutely amazing. The venue was beautiful, the food was incredible, and the photos came out better than we could have ever imagined. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding experience.” — Jovanni Valles
We love this review not just because of what it says — but because of who said it. Because weddings aren't just for brides. They're for the grooms who stood at the altar and meant every word. For the families who flew in and sat in the front row. For the grandparents who made the drive from DFW because this was important.
The Meadows was built for all of them.
Most couples who spend time on this page do one of two things:
They go read our Google reviews for themselves — which we absolutely encourage.
Or they schedule a tour — because reading this far means something clicked.
If you're ready to see The Meadows in person, walk through Celebration Hall, stand on the dance floor, look out those west windows, and meet the family behind every one of these reviews — we'd love to have you out.
Tours are personal, unhurried, and completely free.
Same family. Start to finish.
